New formula helmet from fly racing

Fly Racing is proud to present the brand new formula Helmen, one of the most advanced motocross helmets ever created. Tested with the world's most advanced equipment, the Formula Helmen offers a performance that is best in the class at both high speed cracks and rotational and low speed impact. This technologically advanced helmet redefines expectations of helmet performance and security.

Constructed from the inside and out

The formula's adaptive impact system (AIS) is the result of years of coordinated research and design with leading doctors, researchers and physicists from all over the world. AIS is a high -performing ecosystem of structural design and energy -heating materials. Each layer, from energy cells to the two-density EPS feed and 12K carbon fiber shell, is carefully tuned to achieve superior head protection in the case of as wide variety of real shock as possible.

The formula's first line of defense is an extremely strong and light 12K carbon fiber shell. 12k carbon fiber refers to 12,000 carbon fiber threads per band. Carbon fiber is strongest when flat. Wider carbon fiber bands woven together give a flatter result with fewer dips and increases that are inherent in a woven material. The reduction of these dips and increases creates fewer areas for resin to gather. Smaller resin means less weight. The result is an extremely light shell with superior penetration resistance compared to the usual 3K carbon fiber.

Improved energy absorption

Just as a deformation zone absorbs and disseminates the Conehead technology, more effective than traditional EPS helmet foods. Conehead technology produces a more progressive energy absorption through a wider variety of shock scenarios.

The formula has six critical zones of Conehead EPS. Each zone has a uniquely fine-tuned combination of EPS densities for a more progressive response to shock specific to that area of the helmet. Studies have shown that the majority of bumps occur on the forehead or side of the head. To combat these shocks, the formula development team has included lower density expanded volume EPS (thicker EPS) in these critical zones. This expanded volume EPS provides improved suspension for shock.

Innovative energy cells

Impact Energy Cells maximizes the absorption of low -speed linear and rotational impact. Their unique form and maze structure allows them to be compressed and shear. This movement maximizes the absorption of low -speed linear and rotational impact, which reduces the total load on the brain.

These energy cells are made of Rheon, an "active" material sensitive to load speed that effectively absorbs and spreads energy when deforming. Rheon's adaptive chemistry instinctively responds to control energy and changing its behavior depending on the severity or direction of a shock.

With the Formula Helmen, Fly Racing takes a big step forward in helmet safety and performance, giving drivers the best protection available on the market.
